MTC9505 HYDRO-FLY Foam

MTC9505 HYDRO-FLY

Is it a car? Is it an airplane? Is it a boat?

Keep watching here for information on Megatech's new, exciting, and unique R/C vehicle - The Hydro-Fly. Megatech has been developing The Hydro-Fly since 2002 & is due out December 2005. More details coming soon. International hydro-foam boat design and engineering patents pending.

I'm glad I found your blog. I was about to buy one of these boat-plane-things from hobbytron.com. In part, because they were inexpensive, and because they have a commercial link off of google.com.

Is there really any reputable hobby shop selling a "ready to fly" kit like all these other bogus shops (which you mention) are listing?

They do exist... an RTF hydroflyer, but I must say that it's rather "ARF" - almost ready to fly - more than it is RTF.

There are improvements to the products out there, but I wouldn't actually vouch for any of them. Best bet is to order the kit and piece it together yourself.

It seems that ever since the video of Connelly's craft made it's way around the web, so much interest and excitement was created, that sooner or later there were going to be numerous attempts to copy it and take it to market. Here's a website that I think is more reputable than the ones you've mentioned previously that has the Megatech version for sale in Jan '06, and another one from Amax that will be in by Dec 1 2005. Take a look and tell me what you think: www.rcdiscounts.com

Yeah that is the Walkera Brand..they are the only ones rolling it out worldwide

I bought a hydroflyer from someone else and it incinerated itself in my shop while I was charging it ... luckily I have some cleanup, and replacement of bench and some smoke damage but consider myself thankful I didnt lose my shop, cars , tools... lucky lucky lucky.... the battery must have overheated... on charger for about 3 hours...

Hey there Ecommerce blog dog i am looking at gettting one but you say all over the show that there are rip offs out there. Can you please email me spickil@hotmail.com and advise me where i can get one of your ones.
