Hydro Balsa?

Hydro Foam's got their names from using foam to make something that floated on water - hence "Hydro Foam." I found this on H0bbyTr0n's website - a little odd >> So what do you call a HydroFoam or HydroFlyer made from balsa wood - a HydroBalsa?? Reminds me of "The La Trattoria"

NEWBIE: Christmas Present for Hubby -- found a Hydroflyer on EBay and since you are so knowledgeable I was wondering your opinion. Here is a link:

Obviously much cheaper than those you have recommended -- but we're really really new at this.

This auction is questionable. The graphics are taken from JPR Trading, so either they are reselling from them, they are them, or they have a completely different product but they don't actually have pictures. Tough call.

i won an auction from the same seller on one when it arrives i wil post on the quality, one person left a feed back that it was a great item

i finally got my hydrofoam off ebay,i had it together including taking a quick break for dinner 3hours,from start to where i was testing the control's,how ever i noticed a few things i didnt like about the kit,1 the canopy cover is plastic with two adhesive strip's and it doesnt cover all the wires,so im gonna come up with something else to keep the electronics safe,2 the receiver comes very small and with out a cover to tell you which wires do what, basically battery/throttle,rudder and elevator or which way to plug them in i pluged the wires everywhich way to sunday to finally figure it out, also be aware once you get to this step i had the brushless motor run wide open luckily i was holdingit or i would be replacing possibly a window and hydroflyer,3 flight control end's are horrible they are a screw and body you slip the rod end through the hole in the body tighten the screw but leaves alot of slop and the screw's keep coming loose,so today im headed to the hobby shop to buy some new control ends for the rod's,it was not hard for me to assemble but an inexperienced modeler maybe, alot of gluing it came with a 5minute glue but i used some glue i smuggled from a navy base that holds fantastic. 4 the antenna,it doesnt come with a thin rod to run the antenna out and away from the hydroflyer i robed one off my nitro truck.5 and the directions were just pictures with a legend, unless your good at following pictures that might slow down your assembly, also the pictures dont tell you where to position your battery facing which way it was only 5 pages of pictures for assembly but all in all it was complete it came with propeller, motor, rechargeable two stick transmitter with charger, speed control, lipo battery with charger it was charged in under three hours not sure how long it takes to charge i checked it after i was done assembling and it was fully charged,i charged transmitter over night i only took it off charge to configure the controls then put the transmitter back on charge,if you have anyquestions or want pictures of the model i purchased from the ebay seller wildsportscards you can email me at darrel_barnes@yahoo.com,im yet to fly it until i change the flight controls which will be later today 12/30/05

How did this end up working out? Any videos/pics yet?

i bought one from ebay too. but i must have made a bad setting on the esc. only goes half throttle. i cant find anything to set the esc. any help?
